Embark Studios released ARC Raiders version 1.45.0 on September 8, 2026. The update adds a new Raider Project, starts the fifth Expedition period, and makes changes to weapons, item handling, matchmaking, interface behavior, and stability.
Ascending the Mountain and Expedition 5
The new Raider Project, Ascending the Mountain, sends players after mysterious ARC signals in a mountain region that the Tube system cannot reach. Apollo is working on an experimental way to access the area while Shani investigates the signal.
Expedition 5 also started with the update. Players are not forced to reset mission progress this time and can choose to keep current tasks before leaving. The Expedition window remains open until September 29, according to the source article.
Main Changes in ARC Raiders 1.45.0
- Ascending the Mountain Raider Project
- Expedition 5
- Hornet Hunter Set
- Community-designed rubber ducks for Bird City
- Reduced aim sway on the Aphelion
- Optional reset behavior for Expedition tasks
- Separate key binding for quick item cycling
- PlayStation 5 crash fixes
- Clearer matchmaking error messages
- Upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.7
Cred Is Being Removed
The source article says Cred will be retired with Frozen Trail on October 8. Any remaining balance will not be converted into another currency and will be removed when the update arrives, so players are advised to spend it first.
Existing Cred can be used through Shani or on unclaimed Raider Deck rewards. Previously unlocked rewards remain on the account.
Weapon and Gameplay Changes
Aphelion aim sway has been reduced. Quick item cycling can now use its own binding independently from the quick-use wheel and can also be disabled.

The update also changes landing behavior on moving surfaces, adjusts how Snitch Scanner can call ARC units, and fixes issues involving ARC Turbine mines and Matriarch attacks.
Unreal Engine 5.7 and Technical Fixes
ARC Raiders moves from Unreal Engine 5.3 to 5.7 in this update. The patch also addresses a PlayStation 5 crash that could occur shortly after a session began and fixes a problem triggered by rapid key presses.
Matchmaking can now recover from an issue caused by a team member leaving and rejoining. Inventory weight updates immediately after dropping an item, and matchmaking errors tied to connection or crossplay problems provide clearer messages.
