Pocketpair continues to update Palworld after version 1.0. Patch 1.0.4 was released on September 6, 2026 and adds new side quests while adjusting combat, fishing, base management, user interface behavior, and performance.
Palworld 1.0.4 Adds Two New Side Quests
The update adds Beyond Dimensions and From the Far Side of the Moon. Beyond Dimensions begins from an NPC at Fisherman’s Point in the Mount Obsidian area.
You need to complete Beyond Dimensions before progressing through From the Far Side of the Moon, turning the two additions into a short quest chain.
Pal Combat AI Changes
Summoned Pals and base Pals now prioritize abilities expected to deal more damage. The behavior of base Pals using charge-based abilities has also been adjusted.
Quest-target Pals and NPCs no longer fall asleep. The minimum range for Power Bomb has changed, unnecessary backward movement on some skills has been reduced, and Core Eject damage from the Core Eject Shotgun has been adjusted.
Fishing Changes
Fishing difficulty in Sunreach and World Tree areas has been rebalanced. Item quantities from successful catches now change depending on the bait used, and the control guidance and equipment information shown while fishing have been updated.

- Fishing difficulty in Sunreach and World Tree was rebalanced.
- Reward quantities now vary based on bait type.
- Fishing control guidance was updated.
- Warning screens were revised.
- Recommended equipment information was updated.
- A new World Setting changes fish behavior during the mini-game.
- A duplicate-item display problem on the reward screen was fixed.
Base Management and Pal Changes
The way materials are returned when an active production job is cancelled has changed. During building and dismantling, materials that exceed the player’s carrying capacity can now be dropped at the location. The required Work Suitability level for collecting Ancient Bark was also changed to 1.
Lapure swimming speed and the target-tracking bonus from Lunaris Effigy have been adjusted, along with fixes related to player-built campfires.
Interface and Performance Fixes
Palpedia receives new options for finding Pals by name, and Work Suitability descriptions were revised. On PC, processing load in World Tree and selected other areas has been reduced.
The patch also fixes issues affecting quests, multiplayer, Partner Skills, and user interface behavior.
