VALORANT Patch 13.06 is bringing several major additions at the same time. The update introduces the Warden automatic rifle, the experimental Gauntlet: Glitched mode and a redesigned Agent Mastery progression system. So, how does the Warden work in VALORANT? And what changes with the new game mode and Agent Mastery system?
VALORANT Warden Stats
- Price: 2,900 Credits
- Weapon type: Fully automatic rifle
- Magazine: 18 rounds
- Scope: 2x magnification
- Head damage: 200
- Body damage: 50
- Leg damage: 42
- Fire rate: 6.5 rounds per second
- Reserve ammo: 36
- Wall penetration: Medium
The Warden sits in the same 2,900-credit price tier as the Vandal and Phantom but is built around a different style of play. Its 2x scope gives it a stronger focus on medium and long-range fights, while 200 head damage allows it to secure a one-shot kill. Body damage stays at 50 regardless of distance.
That higher damage comes with clear limitations. The Warden fires slower than the Vandal and Phantom and carries only 18 rounds per magazine. Instead of rewarding extended spray fights, it is designed to favor accurate opening shots and players who prefer holding long sightlines.
How Does Gauntlet: Glitched Work?
Gauntlet: Glitched is an experimental VALORANT mode built around two-player teams and randomized abilities. Sixteen players are divided into eight duos that compete through a tournament-style structure. Instead of using a standard Agent ability kit, each player builds a custom hybrid character.
Players draft abilities from a randomized pool to create their own Robo-Agent. Those abilities can then be upgraded as the match continues, allowing each player to shape a build around the options they receive. Glitches can also modify familiar abilities in unexpected ways and create combinations that would never appear in a standard VALORANT match.
Because the ability pool changes between games, the mode is designed to produce different builds and matchups each time. It moves away from VALORANT’s traditional 5v5 competitive structure and focuses more heavily on experimentation. Gauntlet: Glitched arrives alongside Patch 13.06.
What Is the VALORANT Agent Mastery System?
Agent Mastery replaces the existing Agent Gear progression structure. Players will earn Mastery Points by spending time on individual Agents and will progress through both seasonal and permanent progression tracks. Previously unlocked Agent Gear will remain on player accounts.
Act Levels represent seasonal progression and reset at the end of each Act. Lifetime Levels remain permanently and show a player’s long-term investment in a specific Agent. Match performance and results can also provide additional Mastery Points beyond basic playtime.
The new Agent ID system gives players more ways to display that progression. Customization options include stances, backgrounds, tracked stats, portraits, icons and borders. Agent-specific rewards such as sprays, voice lines, player cards and poses can also be earned through long-term progression.
Warden, Gauntlet: Glitched and Agent Mastery are scheduled to arrive with VALORANT Patch 13.06 on September 22, 2026. Together, the changes expand the weapon pool, add a completely different style of game mode and give players a new reason to specialize in their favorite Agents. Could the Warden become a real alternative to the Vandal and Phantom?
